- Hardware: a Set up live readings button on the Layout tab's machines installs the live-readings reporter from the app.
- Chat: Rewind: press the arrow to go back to an earlier turn; the turn is shown as it was before, and your words return to the message box.
- Chat: Replies are written live as they arrive, and the model's thinking is drawn as it comes, then folds over the steps.
- Chat: Stop sits beside Send; the live tool call reads as a sentence naming what is being done, with plainer "working" words.
- Chat: Files can be attached to a chat; the attached chip has a Remove and a staged badge.
- Chat: Approvals now appear as a card in the message box and on their own approval page, with Needs you rows and a link page.
- Chat: A tool server's ask goes through the chat's approval card.
- Chat: Accept plan is a pressed button in the chat; Edit plan lets you change a plan; "Open the job" opens the plan page from a chat.
- Chat: The service holds the chat's queue, and queued messages are drawn on the page.
- Chat: A hand-off card is drawn in the chat when work moves to another place.
- Chat: A chat started from a project opens inside that project.
- Chat: The permission level is chosen when a chat starts.
- Chat: A chat with no folder says so at once, with a menu on the folder line.
- Chat: The composer shows the context ring and its card, a trim mark, the last compaction, and the folder line control.
- Chat: The chat tells you which model the server is holding before the chat goes.
- Chat: A run started by a schedule says so in its chat.
- Chat: Ask for a schedule in plain words from a chat.
- Chat: Chat list: counts messages, search hits name their reply, days become sections, filters and an archived list. Chats with a waiting ask are badged and counted under Needs you.
- Chat: Search everything: a page for it, searching chats and, now, your calendar; far-off events are noted in one line instead of crowding the results.
- Chat: The command palette's dialog never shows a stale answer.
- Chat: The word "run" leaves the pages in favour of "reply".
- Chat: A damaged chat is said plainly rather than breaking the rail or plan page.
- Models: Check now / Check again on the Models tab, to see whether a server and model are working.
- Models: Add a model server by its address: on the Models tab and on Setup's Other machines.
- Models: Setup scans other machines live, shows what it finds as drawn, and a scanned machine gets its own page.
- Models: Ollama can now be driven by Metis.
- Models: Metis's own llama-swap is shown as Recommended beside an Ollama it finds.
- Models: Load, Switch and Unload models from the Models tab, each after a cost confirmation.
- Models: The Layout tab shows your machines and the layout in force; Generate a layout gives ranked previews; Use this applies it; saved layouts can be saved and tried.
- Models: Drag a part's chip onto a card to place it; "Move to..." offers every place a part can go; a part left out is shown as Left out; parts take turns on a machine; a machine without the helper gets a card saying so.
- Models: Download works for any listed model, not just the preset ones, and the download's checksum is kept and shown on the model card.
- Models: The Downloads tab lists downloads; a download running past two minutes is announced once by the tray.
- Models: Find models browses more: Load more, Read again, and the libraries of your own servers.
- Models: The model card has speeds and work per finished job, and a file read from what Setup served.
- Models: Setup's offers say how fast your agent's model writes, measured from your own history.
- Models: Setup now has eight steps; the tour no longer appears on its Ready screen; the Look and Machine screens have new words.
- Models: Setup installs a search service (SearXNG) or uses one you already have, with its own step; web search is offered only where a provider is set up.
- Models: Setup can install the browser for the browser tool, with its size shown, Fetch, and Not now / Continue.
- Hardware: The hardware monitor is a section of the Layout tab, showing each machine as Setup measured it, what Metis occupies, and disk reasons in plain words.
- Hardware: Live sensors on the hardware page, from a small reporter that Setup can install and run.
- Hardware: Busy slots are read from the model server, and from Ollama where that is all there is.
- Research: Research has its own screens: start and stop a research run, see what is missing, watch the running row and the run while it runs.
- Research: Research kept pages are distilled and graded at the end of a run.
- Research: "Discuss in a chat" carries the report into a chat, and the chat can be handed research that is ready.
- Research: The report's foot shows the outcome alone.
- Mail: A Mail page: folders, the open folder's newest messages, one message; search and the person's own compose and send.
- Mail: Move, flag, mark read and unread on an opened message.
- Mail: Add an account from Mail.
- Memory: The Brain is a page with a Map, things picked, and each thing naming the chats it came up in; its graph updates when idle.
- Memory: Saving to memory is seamless, and memories are sorted by a sorting pass.
- Memory: The Brain's file has its own handling; memory rows and empty sentences are reworded.
- Phone: Choose the relay or your own server for reaching Metis; the own-server short form works with an address.
- Phone: Devices page redrawn: one list of rows, the reach card, scans, and what works said plainly; Turn off and Try now buttons.
- Phone: The relay works in the build: the service starts its connector, a phone through the relay is admitted, and the door's own pages follow the app's look.
- Phone: Two-step sign-in: turning it on or replacing it is told to your phone as "Two-step sign-in changed", and Turn off requires the code.
- Phone: "Door held" appears on Needs you when the door is held.
- Phone: Notices the service sends survive a restart.
- Updates: The Updates page gets an installer download icon and a daily count card for the digest.
- Updates: A day trip's notice reaches the owner.
- Updates: Home opens to your last look only when you navigate to a page.
- Windows: The command tool sorts commands into classes, with git and interpreters handled separately and an absolute git used.
- Windows: The sandbox keeps a launcher's environment tight, with a breakaway not pinned, grants one at a time, and job kill checked.
- Tools: Metis's own MCP server: other tools can read from Metis over the standard protocol, with tokens.
- Tools: Skill candidates: grill, explain-simpler, questionnaire.
- Tools: The MCP adapter (tool servers over the standard protocol) and a skill-set page.
- Tools: Console's one door: no proxy, no redirects, bounded body.
Fixed
- Skill import's fetch goes behind the address rule; URL ports and addresses are checked before they are used.
- Mail message numbers can't carry control characters into the server.
- Reasoning is never sent in a bug report or trial share; the trial has a second opt-in.
- A key is never written through a link; key files are protected from overwrites.
- Undo refuses a relative path and closes traversal on any route.
- Other sites' search phrases are dropped.
- Secrets stored in the relay and two-step files are redacted.
- An address with a name or password in it is refused.
- A dropped client connection is one log line, not a trace.
- A watched address or port's check no longer stalls the clock.
- A stopped end is handled cleanly.
- Bounded reads for the catalogue and for oversized settings files.
- A write with a lone surrogate no longer breaks.
- Far calendar dates are refused with their days named, not a 500.
- A chat's name is cut safely; run records read from any shape.
- A chat Metis withdrew itself stays off the archive.
- A chat whose folder is a whole drive (C:) refuses commands in words instead of changing permissions across the drive.
- The update pop-up says why a download failed.
Changed
- Tools tab to its screen, with Asks first warnings; Capabilities frame, tabs and power control; model card in three tiers.
- Home, Needs you and Decisions in new form; Settings tenants and compare.
- Projects list as rows, a project's head, runs and plan, Activity page.
- The page head, state colours and sheet are shared across pages; schedules show a trigger in plain words and a list of rows.
- Schedules: Run now, rename, edit, pause.
- Contacts page can edit in place and import a .vcf file.
- Notes page and window bar.
- The calendar's Ask works and docks beside the chat.
- Times follow one clock, in your locale.
- Pressed controls are never under the touch floor.
- The rail reads the Needs you count aloud to screen readers.
